Nestling in the foothills of the shivalik and enconced between Kalagram on one side and the great bustling town of Manimajra is the institute of GMSSS-MHC-MM. Since its inception in the year 2001 when the school was inaugurated by Mrs. Vineeta Rai (Advisor to the Governor), the school has made great strides. Starting with a modest strength of 500 when the middle school at Old Ropar Road was shifted here, a section of Commerce in 11th was also added and gradually in 2004-05 – vocational and in 2005-06-Science stream were also added. Over the past 16 years the school has grown considerably. The first decade of the school saw the foundation being laid brick by brick. The school strength rose to a whopping 4817 in 2014-15 and in the course of time 3 new schools - Pocket No. 1, Pocket No. 10 and GMMS were added to meet the growing demand.
The school is working in a double shift and offers Medical, Non-Medical, Commerce and Vocational streams at the Senior Secondary level. A dedicated staff of 107 is working to control the reigns of the school. A non-teaching staff of 26 works tirelessly to keep the school and it premises in order. Another feather in the cap of the school is that the school is a cluster head of SSA and has four sub centres running under its patronage. The school has 54 airy and well ventilated rooms, well organised Computer lab, Fine Arts Room, Chemistry, Physics and Bio Lab and a Library with meaningful reading material.
